Integrations & export

Bring in vacations. Export everything.

Subscribe to a Personio or iCal feed so time off updates itself, then share the plan as a styled Excel workbook or a portable file. Your choice, your format.

  • Personio & iCal
  • Multi-tab Excel
  • Portable .planara files

Connected where it counts

Vacation sync from Personio or any iCal

Point Planara at a calendar feed, map each entry to a team member once, and pull fresh time off on demand. A built-in proxy handles Personio’s CORS so the sync just works.

  • Subscribe by URL or upload .ics
  • Name-to-member mapping is remembered
  • Refresh whenever you like

Excel that looks like the app

Export a multi-tab workbook (overview, teams, planning, a colored Gantt grid and a capacity sheet) with team colors and heatmap formatting carried across.

  • Overview · teams · planning
  • Colored Gantt & capacity tabs
  • Styled with team colors

Portable .planara files

Export one project or your whole workspace to a single file, then import it elsewhere with safe ID remapping, undo history included.

  • One project or all
  • Safe import & merge
  • History travels with it

Many projects, full history

Keep projects side by side, copy a team setup into a new one, and rely on a deep, persistent undo/redo that survives a reload.

  • Multi-project tabs
  • Copy teams across projects
  • Undo/redo that persists

Integration questions

Which calendars work for vacation sync?

Any iCalendar (.ics) feed by URL, plus uploaded files. Personio is supported directly, with a proxy that handles its missing CORS headers.

Is the Excel export just a data dump?

No. It’s a styled, multi-tab workbook, including a colored Gantt grid and a capacity sheet that mirror the app.

Can I move a plan between machines?

Yes. Export a .planara file and import it anywhere; IDs are remapped so nothing collides, and your undo history comes along.

Connect a feed, export a workbook

Sync time off, then hand the plan to anyone in Excel.
